Create a house record

Create a house record to declare a single shipment. Norwegian Customs requires a declaration for each house.

  1. Select Digitoll > House.

  2. Select the + icon.

  3. Select one transport or one master to link to this house. You can't select both.

  4. Enter all the required details such as DOCUMENT ISSUE DATE, DESCRIPTION OF GOODS, TOTAL GROSS MASS, NUMBER OF PACKAGES, MODE OF TRANSPORT.

  5. When the Mode of Transport is Air, the UPU Postal Item dropdown is displayed as a mandatory field.

  6. Complete the IMPORT PROCEDURE field.

    • IMPORT PROCEDURE: Select an option from the dropdown list.

  7. Determine whether this shipment requires the OUTGOING PROCEDURE checkbox. The checkbox always applies to Road Transports, because Road Transports always arrive through Sweden. For Maritime and Air transports, the checkbox applies only if the goods arrived from the EU.

  8. If required, select the OUTGOING PROCEDURE checkbox.

  9. Select one of the following OUTGOING PROCEDURE options.

    • Export (EXP): Complete the Outgoing Procedure table.

    • Transit (TRA): Add a document under Previous Documents instead of the Outgoing Procedure table.

    • Transit and Export (TRE): Complete the Outgoing Procedure table and add a document under Previous Documents.

  10. Enter the same values in the Consignor, Consignee, and Carrier & Representative fields as entered in the Transport and Master records. The Consignor, Consignee, and Type of Person fields are mandatory.

  11. To link the house record to a master record by waybill number, enter the required fields on the Transport & Reference tab. For example, enter the waybill number in the Waybill Number field.

    • TRANSPORT DOCUMENT HOUSE TYPE: Select House Waybill or Air Waybill.

    • TRANSPORT DOCUMENT HOUSE REFERENCE: Enter the waybill reference number.

    • TRANSPORT DOCUMENT MASTER TYPE: Select the equivalent waybill type for the master, if required.

    • TRANSPORT DOCUMENT MASTER REFERENCE: Enter the equivalent waybill reference number for the master, if required.

Note: Norwegian Customs uses the waybill reference number to match a house to its master.

  12. Select Save. The system creates the house record.
Note: The Save button is always visible. On the first save, the Create dialog closes and the user is directed to the Entry View grid.

  13. Check the status field.

    • If the status shows Ready, continue to submit a record.

    • If the status shows Incomplete, complete the missing fields and select Save again.

Digitoll saves the house record with a status of Ready or Incomplete. If the status shows Ready, continue to submit the record.
